Our story
Most robotics begins by asking what a machine can do. KOIBOT began with a different question: what it should feel like to share a room with one. The answer pointed away from louder, faster, and more capable — and toward something calmer, more considered, and easier to live with.
Companion technology today tends to optimize for engagement: notifications, streaks, the constant pull to come back. We think a presence in your home should do the opposite — ask for little, stay out of the way, and simply be there when it matters. ROLA is our first attempt to make that real: an embodied companion shaped around expressive presence, premium craft, and Amoria’s emotional intelligence.
We are a small team building deliberately, across Japan and China, with the patience that physical products demand. KOIBOT is meant to be a long-term robotics brand — ROLA is where it begins, not where it ends.
